Prototype Overview
InfoLoom, Inc. can help you build a topic map prototype. The prototype includes:
- General introduction to topic maps and how it could be applied to your data.
- Brainstorming: using topic maps in your organization.
- Choose a sample document set. For the prototype, you should select documents of a single format. Prototype formats include HTML, XML, SGML, ASCII, indexed MSWord, and delimited database files.
- Topic map analysis.
- Topic map creation. Topic map information should be either automatically extractable based on document markup (XML, SGML, HTML) or you should provide a list of terms (topics) that you want to include into your topic map.
- Generation of a second iteration of the topic map based upon the evaluation.
- Delivery of a browsable set of HTML topic-mapped files + an ISO 13250 topic map.
