Hi Alex,
Subj3ct and Ontopedia are trying to do two different (but
complimentary!) things. Subj3ct is focussed purely on identifiers,
registering identifiers, registering identifier equivalences, and
registering resources that describe the identified subject. The intent
is to create something like a DNS service for the Semantic Web that
can resolve identifiers to their equivalent identifiers and links to
related resources. That's why we are slurping up ATOM feeds rather
than providing a manual registration interface (at least for now).
Ontopedia is a great source of PSIs and I'm hoping that we can get all
the identifiers in Ontopedia searchable through Subj3ct and perhaps
also encourage people using PSIs from other domains to consider
declaring equivalences with the PSIs already registered on Ontopedia.
Cheers
Kal
