Dear all,

We are looking for a researcher with a strong interest in question
answering, graph based algorithms and natural language processing. The
candidate should be willing to pursue a Ph.D. in Engineering (computer
science) and should have obtained a Master degree in Engineering,
Computer Science, Informatics or Artificial Intelligence with a minimum
score of cum laude (70%).
We offer a 3 year Ph.D. position (competitive wage and possibility to be
prolonged) in the Faculty of Engineering (department of Computer
Science) at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, in close
collaboration with the industry. At least 4/5 of the work will be done
in the company Space Applications Services - located in Zaventem (next
to Brussels).
The research will target a portable domain question answering system
over Topic Maps.

Requirements:
- A Master degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Informatics or
Artificial Intelligence with a minimum score of cum laude (70%).
- Fluent in English.
- Experience with NLP research is a great advantage.
