The task force was closed down when the Semantic Web Best Practices and
Deployment Working Group got wound up. There was talk of starting an XG
(Incubator Group) at the W3C to finish the work, but neither I nor anyone
else who really cared had the capacity to carry it through.

An XG is still a possibility, but it means recruiting a number of W3C
members.

Another possibility would be to do the work in SC34 as a Technical Report
and then submit it as a W3C Note, which could be progressed into a W3C
Recommendation.

But we need people to do the actual work, otherwise we just hit another
bottleneck.

If there are volunteers who seriously think they can contribute actively to
putting the finishing touches to the Draft Guidelines mentioned above,
please make yourselves known. There is not a lot that needs to be done; the
most important missing piece of the Guidelines is a formalization of the
mapping.
