Hi Christo

The website of the NZ Electronic Text Centre is driven by a topic map
which uses (in part) the CIDOC CRM ontology.

http://www.nzetc.org/

Each page on the site is a view of a particular topic.

There is a little background information at:
http://www.nzetc.org/tm/scholarly/tei-NZETC-About-technology.html#techno
logy-topicmap

You might also like to look at the Australian Literature Gateway
"AustLit"
http://www.austlit.edu.au/

There is considerable technical background here:

Cheers
