Hello everybody, hi Carlo,
since this is my first contribution to this mailing list, I'ld like to
briefly introduce myself:
I am working in a small IT company which develops customer specific
solutions for clients in the life science and automotive industry. I
have been using Topic Maps in a few of our R&D projects, and have been
on the lookout for Topic Maps applications in any domain.

The brief list below gives healthcare related findings - an outsider's
findings only, since I am not a healthcare expert.
Bruegge et al. (#1) used Topic Maps in a framework for knowledge sharing
between physicians.
Morikawa and Kerschberg (#2) published a very interesting (medical)
process model using Topic Maps.
Hoy (#3) offers kind of a case study describing a healthcare project
based on Topic Maps.
The work done at the University of Giessen (Dudeck, Schweiger) seems to
have yielded a commercial spin-off and might be worth further inquiries
(#4).
Kind regards
Gerhard Weber
