No, you're not missing anything, because this just isn't there. :)

In tolog which topic map (or maps) to query is defined by context,  
outside the query. At the lowest level, the API, the query processor  
that you pass the query to is bound to a specific topic map. Higher  
up there are other mechanisms.

TMQL handles this differently, in that there is a defined (but  
optional) syntax for specifying which topic map is being queried. If  
you leave the specification out you have the same situation as in tolog.
