Rich,
I've just posted a preliminary draft of an XCL 1.0 syntax
specification to:
http://purl.org/xcl/1.0/
which redirects to:
http://www.altheim.com/specs/xcl/1.0/
For those interested, this is an attempt to explicate the XCL DTD
recently submitted as part of the ISO 24707 work. Appendix C of
the online spec does include links to the XCL 1.0 DTD, plus
commented and xcl:-prefixed versions as well.
This is all very much early draft material and you are encouraged
to read the Status of this Document section before continuing on.
Just to note: the spec I've just posted has *no* formal status
with ISO or anyone else.
Comments and feedback most welcome. As Harry notes below, comments
should be made to the CL mailing list, or to me (with the notion
that I'll assume you intend for me to forward them to the CL mailing
list unless I'm told otherwise). Please note that I am only involved
with the XCL part of the ISO work; comments on other aspects should
be directed to the appropriate person.

As late as 1855, New York newspapers reported that Presbyterian,

"they do not accept the day as a Holy One." On the eve of the
Civil War, Christmas was recognized in just 18 states.
