The quick answer is that you can have a thesaurus in a Topic Map.
Topic Maps is a technology / data model / format in which you can
model and preserve stuff, and thesaurii, faceted classification
systems, taxonomies, folksonomies, tagsonomies, and pretty much any
other structure is just what ou would use Topic Maps for. Knock
yourself out. :)
