The ISO Topic Maps committee had a very productive four days of
meetings last week in Amsterdam. WG3's recommendations, accepted
in toto by SC34, are available at
http://www.jtc1sc34.org/repository/0625.htm
Pointers from that document will take you to all related relevant
documents.
Six ballots took place in the period leading up to this meeting.
The results were as follows:
13250-2 Topic Maps -- Data Model (TMDM): FCD ballot passed
13250-3 Topic Maps -- XML Syntax (XTM): FCD ballot passed
13250-4 Topic Maps -- Canonicalization (CXTM): FCD ballot passed
13250-5 Topic Maps -- Reference Model (TMRM): CD ballot failed
18048 Topic Maps Query Language (TMQL): CD ballot passed
19756 Topic Maps Constraint Language (TMCL): CD ballot passed
What this means is that Parts 2-4 of the revised 13250 are very
nearly finished. The final ballot is likely to take place in
November.
