[topicmapmail] Reliability, Confidence in Associations

Hi all.

I was just wondering if anyone had developed a way of modeling
reliability or confidence levels in Associations. At first glance
it seems that since this is a statement or characteristic being
made about the Association itself, we'd need to reify the
Association as a Topic and then hang the confidence value off of
that Topic using a typed Occurrence. A more simplistic way might
be to create an enumerated sequence of Topics (say, 1 through 5)
and use that to type the Association -- not as elegant or 'correct'
perhaps, but less complicated.

Has anyone developed a specific way of doing this, so that if I
decide to implement something we might be in rough harmony? I'd
be interested in anyone's experience doing this in XTM, and would
be happy to cooperate in the development and publication of a PSI
set for this subject.

Thanks much,

Murray
