| Has anyone been able to run Omnigator on Apple's OSX?

Nobody at Ontopia does, but we've know many people outside Ontopia do
run it successfully on OSX.

| I have added
|
| export JAVA_HOME=/Library/Java/Home
|
| to "jakarta_tomcat/bin/startup.sh", but I get a crash when
| "catalina.sh" is executed. What I get is:
|
| Using CATALINA_BASE: /Applications/XML/omnigator/jakarta-tomcat
| Using CATALINA_HOME: /Applications/XML/omnigator/jakarta-tomcat
| Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: /Applications/XML/omnigator/jakarta-tomcat/temp
| Using JAVA_HOME: /Library/Java/Home
|
| [Process exited - exit code 1]

Hmmmm. This doesn't provide a lot of info. Have you tried looking in
the jakarta-tomcat/logs directory for clues? Have you checked if the
java process might actually be running (perhaps it's just the shell
script that has exited (as it should)).

| I have to admit I do not have a very good Unix and/or shell
| script-knowledge, and I don't see how I should tackle this problem.
| Is anyone here able to suggest a solution or point me towards the
| rigth direction?

The first thing to do is to figure out what, if anything, it is that's
really failing.
