[topicmapmail] <mergeMap> Attributes?

I don't see why you can't do this within topic maps as opposed to as
an extension. Why not define a topic type AnotherResourceWorthLookingAt
and then creating topics of that type whose <resourceRef>s point to
the resources? (Or something along those lines.) 

I think you need to make up your mind whether or not to use topic
maps, and if you do decide to use topic maps then you should do so
consistently.
