Right, that is another way to go. But it would actually require to allow
the processing application to differentiate between processing information
and 'true' topic map information and to propably take the processing information
out of the constructed TM object. 

The situation in RDF is a bit different because the triples one gets from
parsing are completely unrelated and the application can simply pick
what's of interest or what it understands.

Very interesting in this context is RDFForms[1] which actually brings the
HTML hypermedia application model to RDF. Simply said, I want the same
for XTM.
