Looks interesting, esp. with Stu Weibel's name on it. This will
perhaps throw a monkey wrench into the current URI discussions, or
at the very least make life more challenging (how many layers/levels
of namespaces can one handle without a cerebral hemorrhage?).

Public Namespaces", Van de Sompel, Hammond, Neylon, Weibel. Sept 2003.

Abstract
This document defines the "info" Uniform Resource Identifier
(URI) scheme for information assets with identifiers in public
namespaces. Namespaces participating in the "info" URI scheme
are regulated by an "info" Registry mechanism.

This may have some effect upon our PSI implementation ideas, though
I don't see this as in any way damaging. [I'm quite happy with PURLs
for now, really.]

The world, Bush said, is now riven by "the clearest of divides:
between those who seek order and those who spread chaos; between
those who work for peaceful change and those who adopt the methods
of gangsters; between those who honor the rights of man and those
who deliberately take the lives of men and women and children
without mercy or shame. Between these alternatives there is no
neutral ground."

Actions speak louder than words, and I think it's pretty clear
which side of the divide Bush is on.
