Hi,

I've recently 'released' schemas for OpenThemicMaps 1.0, a syntax 
derived in large part from Topic Maps.
There's more information and a prototype GUI editing tool at

It's essentially a light, fast, basis syntax for folks who like 
working with pared down structures that map more easily to 
application structures whilst still having the power to transform 
that into a full-on standard TM if needed.
