> Does anyone know about any project or any work on application of topic maps
> to learning (e-learning). I am also interested in any study or evaluation

>
> 	- Navigation through the course material;
> 	- Finding good examples;
> 	- Personalized presentation;
> 	- Exchange of information with related groups or institutions;
> - Collaborative authoring of educational resources and merging
>   	  information with other groups (individuals) or institutions;
> - Efforts for creating and organizing course material.

The book "XML Topic Maps" (ISBN 0-201-74960-2) has a focus on education
(collaboration, organization) throughout, but especially in chapters 8,
16, and 17.

If you are looking for a Socratic perspective on topic maps as
conversation, you might find a (poorly formatted) paper on my site useful:

("Topic Maps / Pattern Languages: An Approach to Supporting
Community-Based Inter-Island Conversation").
