| Since writing my first note, I was pondering the idea of treating my
| phrase as a concept itself, meaning that I would create a topic to
| represent it. I would refer to this as a concept phrase, just like
| there is the idea of a noun phrase within text mining. This concept
| phrase would naturally have associations to the more primitive
| concepts of "topic maps" and "keywords", and it would serve as a
| topic to which my resources (those emails) could be associated.
Bingo. This is precisely what I showed in the email I sent 2 minutes
ago. I think this is the way to do it.
| But, what you've shown me is also a great way to cover this case.
| If I understand correctly, I could give my "represents" association
| instance an id value and then reference that directly from another
| association, such that I would not need to create a new topic if I
| didn't need it for any other purposes.
This works, but it's much more awkward, and as far as I can tell it
has no benefits at all. I would not recommend it.
