I am currently just touching the tip of the Topic Maps iceberg, and I would
appreciate the list's help in proceeding.
I'm looking at topic maps as a way to structure certain types of scientific
information. From my initial reading, it seems like maps are the way forward
for this sort of work; however I have not been able to find any examples of
their use in this field. I have found the Ontopia and topicmaps.org examples
useful in helping me to understand the concepts, but is anyone able to point
me towards implementations in science (or at least academia)?
I remember that Steve Pepper mentioned the creation of repositories of maps
in his 'TAO' article, but I haven't been able to find more resources on this
and it would be nice to have more to convince my boss with.
Many thanks,
Benjamin Sims
