Another aspect of "automatization", that Jean could have spoken about, since we have
worked out several examples of that, is the automatic conversion (e.g. through XSLT) of
XML or otherwise structured documents interpreted as "implicit" topic maps. That means the
(XML) structure (DTD, schema) is interpreted in terms of topics, associations,
occurrences -
that interpretation is the only "expert" work - and afterwards the document is parsed and
automatically translated in XTM.

Once the XSLT has been created, it can be used for any XML doc with the same DTD or
schema, and therefore the topic map can be created on the fly as output of an XML editor
using that DTD, without further "human expert" intervention. I'm sure many topic maps in
future applications will be built that way, as a background task in an XML environment,
with "authors" not even aware of it.
