I agree.  We've been striving hard on this in ebXML too.  I'm 
intrigued to see you have the UID concept - I'll have to have
a closer look at your implementation details.

Building a spec' that is open to various application 
standards that people are using requires a good helmsman.

Still - lots of people expect to get a complete 'recipe' - so
you cannot just say to them - 'use flour, water, yeast. sugar,
butter and heat' - you have to be both most explicit 
on the one-hand - but open to people who need to use 
margarine or wholewheat flour too.

Anyone have a good recipe for Knopfkunurdel?
