I won't have time to look over this in detail before the holidays, but
I'm curious: does the proposed XLink markup include any element nesting
beyond parent-child? One of the reasons XTM doesn't use XLink more fully
is that any deeper nesting is undefined by the XLink spec. There were
several other problems (such as arcs being confined to their parent
element) that kept us from using more of XLink.
Also, I'm guessing that your implementation deliberately ignores the
existence of the XTM syntax. Why? What application puts a higher priority
on XLink use than interoperable, interchangeable syntax? Just curious.
