Nice work, Martin ! Bravo et merci !

I like your formal definition of topic as a *set* of names and occurrences,
transfering all conceptual-ontological-metaphysical concern out of that
definition into the realm of subjects.  It's indeed a good way to clear the
confusion between topic and subject. It cleared it in my mind anyway.  That
goes in the same direction, I imagine, than Ann Wrightson's work to
formalize all the topic terminology in the set theory frame.
The mathematician in me is bound to applause !
