 Biography
 Mike Rogers - Mike Rogers is Senior Director of Global Engineering Services for Sun Microsystems. Mr. Rogers has been with Sun for 13 years and is currently responsible for Sun's XML programs and web data standards. He is also responsible at Sun for localizations, internationalization, human interface design, documentation, and system testing. Prior to Sun, Mr. Rogers worked for seven years as a researcher at Chevron Oil Company. Mr. Rogers holds a degree in chemical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
 The promise of XML as an open, vendor-neutral, platfrom-neutral standard for web data has led to unprecedented activity across the industry. For the last 3 years, XML champions have been warning that there is still much to be done. Mike will scour XML Europe for all the latest information and will present a perspective on the promise of XML and how close we are (or aren't) to achieving it.
