Building an XML Publication Warehouse

Bryan Caporlette has over 10 years experience managing and implementing SGML/XML-based information management, document conversion, and web publishing systems. As director of product development, Mr. Caporlette is responsible for architecture definition and product engineering. Before joining Hynet, Mr. Caporlette was the senior manager of product engineering at ARINC, responsible for software architecture definition and implementation management. Prior to ARINC, he was a solution center manager at Open Text Corporation, responsible for deploying LiveLink document management solutions at customer sites throughout the western United States. While with Passage Systems, Mr. Caporlette was the architect of the PassageHUB document conversion engine, used extensively within the hardware/software manufacturing, semi-conductor, and telecommunications industries.

Recognized as an SGML/XML expert, Mr. Caporlette has won numerous awards including the Chief Scientist Award and the Technical Achievement Award for creating the Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) DTD for the United States Air Force. He is also a regular presenter at various SGML/XML conferences and seminars. Mr. Caporlette holds a BS degree in systems analysis from Miami University, Ohio.
