Technology driving the SGML marketplace driving technology

 

Abstract

 Technological changes are happening at an ever increasing pace, and continue to disrupt the business models that we have become accustomed to in the SGML marketplace. We will examine some of the technological changes that have occurred over the past few years and their impact on our market. We will also look at how the SGML market has influenced some of the technological changes that are happening today. Some of the questions we will address are:
 
  • How has the advent of the web influenced SGML?

  • What will the role of SGML become with the introduction of XML?

  • Will SGML have an active role in the internet or remain in the back office?
    •  
  • How can internet commerce give me a return on my SGML investment?
