| | Thomas Stadler is born in 1955 and studied from 1974—1982 in Würzburg computer linguistics, literature, history and philosophy. He finished studies with a M.A. degree. From 1979—1987 he worked as a scientist at the university helping others to make editions of medieval texts, giving training courses and doing some research in historical linguistic areas. From 1987 to 1992 he worked with the Stürtz AG where he came in touch with TeX, project management and finally SGML. 1992 STEP Stürtz Electronic Publishing GmbH was founded. STEP focuses on information management topics from the very beginning. Thomas Stadler is since then vice president of this company and responsible for the consulting and training departments. |
