| | Paula Leenheer joined Shell in the early 70's to assist in economic evaluations. Through the use of economic modelling tools her interest in Information Technology was raised and she moved to the IT department of EP to maintain and build systems in support of the subsurface development activities. In 1979 she moved to Oman to perform a similar role and in 1983 was transferred to NAM in Assen, Holland to develop and implement a Maintenance Management System. 1988 saw her departure for Warri, Nigeria to take up responsibility for all Technical systems in the company. From there she moved in 1991 to Aberdeen, UK, first to take on a role in the Data Management Group with initially, responsibilities for introducing Business Modelling and later, when these concepts were well established, to set medium and long directions for the use of the then recently implemented EDM System for Operations. In 1994, she was transferred back to her home town of Hague, SIEP, to take on an advisory role for the Exploration and Production companies world wide with respect to the implementation and exploitation of EDM systems. |
