Alan was previously an Aircraft Engineer, Instructor and Manager. His current areas of responsibility are the Technical Training School, Flight Safety Training School and Flight Operations Publications. He is also a member of the ATA (Airline Transportation Association) Text Working Group.

The Cathay Pacific Flight Publications Department is responsible for all Manuals/documents used in Flight Operations. The majority of these documents are published using Ventura. Last year Cathay Pacific decided to publish the Boeing 777 and Airbus A330/340 using digital data supplied from the manufacturer.
