Steve Brown is president of InfoObjects Inc.

Steve began his career in publishing in 1967 with the founding of Datalogics of Chicago. During the next 25 years his company grew to be a major industry supplier of systems that applied database and SGML technology to batch publishing.

In 1992, Steve sold Datalogics to Frame Technology and became their VP of Corporate Product Strategy. In that position, he directed their entry into the document management market.

When Adobe bought Frame in 1995, he was assigned the responsibility of running the Datalogics and document management operations and preparing them for sale.

Steve retired in early 1996. He lives on a houseboat in Seattle, travels and attends conferences and courses. He occasionally consults in publishing and document management.

Steve has a BS degree in mathematics from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and is a past and current member of the GCA Board.
