| | Tim Bray is a Canadian; after graduating from the University of Guelph in 1981, he received on-the-job training from DEC and GTE. In 1986 he became Manager of the New Oxford English Dictionary Project at the University of Waterloo. This work led to the founding of Open Text in 1989, and eventually to Open Text's IPO in 1996. Currently, he has a consulting practice under the name "Textuality", in the areas of Internet and Publishing technologies. He is co-editor, for the World Wide Web Consortium, of the XML Language and Hyperlinking specifications. He is editor ofThe Gilbane Report
and a Seybold Fellow. |
